Richard Hudson

Responsible for setting up streams of coaching and other development activity work as guided by the Northants development plan, engaging with clubs and local cricket volunteers as well as delivering high quality coaching to players of different ages and abilities.

Rich has moved to Northampton from Gloucestershire where he built up extensive experience coaching at District level, at his Club with the boys and girls' section and in schools. Rich was Head Coach for Cheltenham & Cotswolds District under 11s, who went through the 2010 season unbeaten, and also ran and assessed the county-wide trials in Gloucestershire in 2010 and 2011. His home club is Cirencester CC, where he founded the Girls section and coached the Under 13s A side. He is 1st XI vice-captain at Cirencester who compete in Gloucestershire Division 1.

He has five years experience of coaching cricket in schools, both Primary and Secondary, which began whilst studying at the University of Reading. Rich spent the 2008-09 winter in Melbourne, playing for (and captained in the second half of the season) Mentone CC in the Victorian Turf Cricket Association South Division. Whilst in Melbourne, he also coached at Mentone and ran their Milo In2Cricket scheme for 5-7 year olds. Rich is due to begin his Level 3 Coaching Course in January 2011.
