Northants Cricket is pleased to announce the re-launching of the Indoor Cricket League based in the Indoor Cricket Centre at the County Ground. This format of cricket was hugely successful in Northampton in past years; a number of teams went on to represent the county in national finals at Lord’s.
The league is going to begin in the first week of October and will be played on Sunday evenings. It will initially only be open to cricket clubs, however we hope to develop a more social offer to local business and societies in the near future.
The game is played with 6 players per side. Matches are played with a hard ball and batsmen are required to be fully padded. Each team bats for 12 overs and runs can be scored by hitting certain sections of the walls, e.g. the back wall without bouncing is 6 runs.
We are actively seeking individuals who would like to umpire a fast paced version of the game, if this is something that would be an interest to you, please contact us using the details below.
