This third week is now completed and it appears that teams are getting accustomed to the indoor environment. It is noticeable that the style of batting and ball control has adapted to suit the indoor game.
This week saw wins for Old, Horton House, Spencer and ONs. With stand-out performances from Alan Noding (Pytchley) with 26 from the bat and bowling figures of 3 overs 2 wickets for 4 runs. As well as high scores from Tom Watson (26), George Arblaster (25*), Richard Hudson (25*), Pete Bevan (34*), Andrew Neate (30*) and Charlie MacDonnell (36*).
The standard of both leagues is extremely high and we hope to see teams improve and adapt even more to this form of cricket. We wish all teams the best of luck for next week’s games.
