The County Ground will once again play host to the Hevey Twenty20 Cup on Sunday 29th July. It is the eighth occasion that the event in its current format has been held at The County Ground.
This year’s finalists consist of 16 time winners Northampton Saints and 2010 victors Oundle Town. Completing the quartet and looking for their first taste of success in the competition are Rushden Town and Brixworth or Wollaston.
Last season saw debutants Peterborough Town claim the title in the first-ever final to be played under floodlights at Wantage Road. They then became East Midlands regional champions before bowing out in the quarter-finals of the national competition against the eventual champions.
The draw for the competition will take place on the day at 10.00am. prior to the commencement of the first semi-final at 10.30am. It is approximated that the final of the event will begin at 4.30pm. Entry to the County Ground is free of charge.
