The standings at the half way point in the Robert Pack Cricket Indoor League could be a strong indicator as to final positions at the end of the season. At the top of the table in division 1, Horton House and ON’s are joint top with 9 points. Next week the two teams face each other for bragging rights of top spot. In division 2, Old CC are top of the table with Pytchley close behind on 9 points.
This week displayed a disappointing 2 games out of 4, with a win from Wellingborough Indians against Kettering. Stand out performances from Jeremy Lines (38*), Jignesh Patel (27*), Anand Panchal (26*), Pritam Patel (24*) and Priydatt Joshi (27*).
Old CC. also gained a win against Spencer CC, that win confirming the dominance of Old CC at the top of the table. Stand out performances from Gareth Edlington (49*), excellent bowling figures from Greg Wilson 3 overs for 5 runs and Tom Watson 3 overs 1 maiden 9 runs for 1 wicket.
The standard of play from the first week has improved dramatically, this is setting us up for an excellent finish to the season. We wish the best of luck to all teams in the forthcoming weeks.
